Lakshmi Ayyagari, MD
Lakshmi Ayyagari is currently a Palliative and Hospice Fellow, who grew in Toronto, Canada. During her residency training in New Jersey, she was moved by the impact of Palliative care enhancing the quality of life of cancer patients and their families. Her interests include inpatient palliative care and pain management. Outside of work, she is a travel enthusiast, enjoys cooking/baking and spending time with her husband and family. She completed her residency from Hackensack University - Englewood Hospital and Medical Center.
Mary Kate Johnson, MD
Mary Kate Johnson grew up in the Philadelphia suburbs and attended college and medical school at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. Her husband's Air Force career brought her to Texas where she completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas San Antonio and then served as Chief Resident of Quality and Patient Safety. Mary Kate most recently lived in Virginia where she worked as a Hospitalist and spent time caring for her children (1- and 3-years-old). She enjoys exploring local parks, picnicking by waterfronts, and spending time with family. Mary Kate is excited to have the opportunity to train as a Hospice and Palliative fellow at EMCM and build professional and family roots back home in PA.
