DIXIEANNE JAMES
PRESIDENT, CENTRAL REGION, JEFFERSON HEALTH 

Dixieanne James is president of Jefferson Health's Central Region, which includes Einstein Medical Center Elkins Park, Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia, Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience, Jefferson Methodist Hospital, Magee Rehabilitation Hospital, MossRehab and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Previously, James was President and Chief Operating Officer of Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia, Einstein Medical Center Elkins Park, MossRehab, Willowcrest, and Center One. She joined Einstein as Corporate Director of Strategic Planning in March 2008 and was named Vice President of Strategic Planning and Business Development for Einstein Healthcare Network in 2014.

Prior to joining Einstein, James served as Manager, Planning and Strategy, for Christiana Care Health System in Delaware and Manager, Planning and Business Development, at Lifebridge Health in Baltimore, Md.

BRIAN SWEENEY, RN, MBA, FACHE
PRESIDENT, NORTH REGION, JEFFERSON HEALTH 

Brian Sweeney is President of Jefferson Health's North Region, which consists of six acute care hospitals and numerous ambulatory facilities, generating $3B in annual revenue. With more than 25 years of experience at Jefferson Health, Mr. Sweeney had served as President and Chief Operating Officer of the East Region in New Jersey, and previously Chief Operating Officer for Jefferson's academic division, Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals in Philadelphia.

Mr. Sweeney is a transformational healthcare executive who has successfully led and managed diverse clinical programs, operational departments, and support services. He has focused on strategic planning, business development, process improvement, and service line leadership to achieve desired outcomes in quality and safety, financial performance, and growth.

A results-oriented executive who has led numerous complex change initiatives at Jefferson Health, Sweeney received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Gwynedd-Mercy College in 1996; his nursing career included emergency/trauma care and critical care transport. Mr. Sweeney earned his MBA from Temple University in 2000.

A Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, he is a national speaker on leadership, strategy, healthcare operations, and performance improvement..

JAY D'LUGIN, MD
VICE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF MEDICAL INFORMATION OFFICER, EINSTEIN HEALTHCARE NETWORK

As CMIO, Dr. D'Lugin is responsible for supporting the selection, design and implementation of clinical information systems that support the transition of care across the Network. He focuses on transformation and innovation using Information Technology (IT) in a way that produces value for the Einstein organization.

As a member of the Information Technology Executive Steering Committee, Dr. D'Lugin represents the needs and requirements of the physician community and serves as an advocate of management in promoting the use of IT in the clinical setting. He is responsible for driving both optimization and adoption of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and compliance with regulatory requirements that impact physicians. In addition, he works in partnership with clinical and administrative leadership to translate clinician requirements into information system needs for clinical, teaching and research systems.

MICHAEL GEORGE
VICE PRESIDENT, HEALTHCARE SERVICES

Michael George is a longtime Einstein leader and was named Vice President, Healthcare Services in 2019. He is recognized for strong leadership, teambuilding, strategy development, business growth and operations management skills. Previously, as Associate Vice President, he provided executive leadership for physicians and staff in more than 90 physician practice sites along with management of the following clinical departments: Heart and Vascular, Cancer, Women and Children's, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Medicine Specialties, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and regional Multi-specialty practices.

As Vice President for Healthcare Services, he has service line responsibility, including hospital operations and physician practice executive management responsibility for Medicine, Neurology, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Pediatrics, Oncology, as well as practice management responsibility for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

ROHIT GULATI, MD, FACP, MBA, FACHE 
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT AND CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER, EINSTEIN MEDICAL CENTER PHILADELPHIA, EINSTEIN MEDICAL CENTER ELKINS PARK, MOSSREHAB, CENTER ONE, AND WILLOWCREST

Dr. Gulati joined Einstein in 2018 as Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia, Einstein Medical Center Elkins Park, MossRehab, Center One and Willowcrest. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Dr. Gulati oversees quality and patient safety departments, infection prevention, and the Medical Staff Office for these campuses. Dr. Gulati participates as a member of the executive leadership team and serves as liaison between nursing, clinical staff and medical leadership. He takes the lead on critical initiatives and works with Einstein's officers for graduate medical education and regulatory affairs.

Prior to joining Einstein, Dr. Gulati was Vice Dean Clinical Affairs for West Virginia University Medicine and Chief Medical Officer for University Health Physicians in Martinsburg, WV.

He has lectured across the country on topics pertaining to medical economics, patient access and care, and clinical improvement programs.

MAUREEN JORDAN
VICE PRESIDENT, HEALTHCARE SERVICES, EINSTEIN MEDICAL CENTER PHILADELPHIA

Maureen Jordan holds the position of Vice President, Healthcare Services at Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia. Her areas of responsibility include Radiology, the Women's Center, Patient Escort, Laboratory and Pathology Medicine, Organ Disease and Transplantation, OB-GYN and Pediatrics, Pharmacy Services, Respiratory Care and Pulmonary Diagnostics, Urology, Sterile Processing, Radiation Safety, and Regulatory Agencies. After joining Einstein in 1996, Jordan was named Manager and then, Director of Respiratory Care and Pulmonary Diagnostics for Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia in 1998 and 2000 respectively. She was promoted to Assistant Vice President in 2010, serving as the leader for a number of both clinical and non-clinical Einstein areas. More recently, Jordan has served as the leader for the Einstein G.P.S. Standards of Behavior Committee. In that role, she ensured the network-wide involvement of over 150 front-line employees across the entire Einstein continuum who came together to identify the specific behaviors that, when adopted, will ensure that employees are living up to Einstein's Code of Conduct in all dealings with patients, their families and one another.

LAMONT LOUIS, MBA
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER, EINSTEIN PHYSICIANS

Lamont Louis joined Einstein in 2018 as Chief Operating Officer for Einstein Physicians. He provides executive leadership focusing on improving Einstein Physicians office efficiency, access to care for our patients and referring community and helping to lead our Einstein 360 efforts.

Prior to joining Einstein, Louis led several large medical groups including the Lehigh Valley Physician Group Poconos, Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine Faculty Practice and the Academic Faculty Practice of St. Christopher's Hospital for Children.

GINA MARONE, RN, MSN, NEA-BC
VICE PRESIDENT OF HEALTHCARE SERVICES AND CHIEF NURSE EXECUTIVE, EINSTEIN MEDICAL CENTER PHILADELPHIA

Gina Marone is Vice President of Healthcare Services and Chief Nurse Executive for Einstein Healthcare Network. In this role, she has oversight of nursing for Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia, Einstein Medical Center Elkins Park, MossRehab, and Willowcrest. In addition, she has administrative responsibility for the Emergency Department.

Marone joins Einstein from the MD Anderson Cooper Cancer Center where she served as Vice President of Clinical Operations at multiple New Jersey locations. Prior to that, she served in several capacities with increasing responsibilities at Cooper University-Healthcare in Camden, NJ, most recently as Vice President for Patient Care Services and Associate Chief Nursing Officer. With 29 years experience as a nurse, Marone started her career as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit at Lankenau Hospital and in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Hahnemann Hospital, before moving into management roles.

MARIA MCCALL
VICE PRESIDENT OF HEALTHCARE SERVICES

Maria McCall joined Einstein Healthcare Network in October 2019 as Vice President of Healthcare Services responsible for the operation and growth of Einstein’s Cardiothoracic, Cardiology, Digestive Disease and Transplant, Urology, and Orthopedic service lines.

A seasoned healthcare leader with proven experience in service-line growth and development, McCall’s expertise includes business development and strategic planning, physician integration and alignment, quality assurance and performance, and employee engagement.

McCall joined Einstein from Trinity Health in Langhorne, PA, where she served as Service Line Administrator for the Oncology Division responsible for the development and achievement of the oncology service line's strategic objectives. Earlier in her career, McCall served as Senior Administrative Director for Surgery and Medical Specialties at Crozer-Keystone Health Network in Springfield, PA; Senior Director of Clinical Services at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia; and Operations and Compliance Manager for Solid Organ Transplant at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

McCall earned a Master of Science degree in Health Policy and Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biobehavioral Health from Penn State University. She is also a graduate of the United States Presidential Management Fellowship program, a Six Sigma Lean Black Belt Professional, and a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

DOUGLAS MCGEE, DO, FACOEP, FACEP
CHIEF ACADEMIC OFFICER, EINSTEIN HEALTHCARE NETWORK

As Chief Academic Officer and ACGME Designated Institutional Official, Dr. McGee oversees the Office of Academic Affairs, which provides institutional oversight for all graduate, undergraduate and continuing medical education programs throughout Einstein Healthcare Network. McGee has played a leading role in advancing learning- and teaching-related projects at Einstein. He coordinated the conception, planning, fundraising and building of the Einstein Center for Clinical Competency, which is designed to improve patient safety and health-care delivery while helping residents transition from classroom instruction to clinical interaction. Dr. McGee is an Assistant Dean at Jefferson Medical College. He has served in many roles in various state and national organizations, including having as President of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians (PACEP) and President of the Council of Emergency Medicine Residency Directors (CORD).

Dr. McGee is presently a member of the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education Review Committee for Emergency Medicine and represents the American College of Emergency Physicians on the Emergency Medicine GME Funding Task Force. He is a frequent presenter at local and national meetings and has lectured extensively on topics in trauma, diagnostic testing, CT scan interpretation, genitourinary emergencies, and residency administration. Dr. McGee completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia, served as the Associate Director of the Emergency Medicine Residency from 1992 to 2000 and as the Residency Program Director from 2000 to 2008.

DORLYN MCLAUGHLIN
VICE PRESIDENT, HEALTHCARE SERVICES

Dorlyn McLaughlin is Vice President, Healthcare Services and a longtime Einstein leader. Prior to this role, she was Associate Vice President, Physician Services, and prior to that, the Administrator for the specialty practice operations and clinical programs for the Department of Surgery. She is recognized for strong leadership and teambuilding skills with expertise in accreditation and regulatory compliance, business development, program planning and operations management. As Vice President, Healthcare Services, McLaughlin is responsible for the Surgery, Neurosurgery, and Dental Medicine service lines and oversees physician practice operations for the Emergency Department, Radiology, Pathology, Anesthesia, Pain Management and Psychiatry.

PATRICIA MODAFFERI 
VICE PRESIDENT, HEALTHCARE SERVICES, EINSTEIN MEDICAL CENTER MONTGOMERY

Patricia (Pat) Modafferi is Vice President of Healthcare Services at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery, where she leads the operational oversight and strategic direction of numerous ancillary and clinical support departments, including network responsibility for the radiology service line.

Modafferi has more than 25 years of community and hospital healthcare leadership experience. She served as a member of the Activation and Transition team responsible for the successful facility planning, operational model design and execution of the opening of Einstein Montgomery in September 2012. Before joining Einstein, Modafferi held various positions in leadership, including Vice President, at Montgomery Hospital Medical Center. Prior to joining Montgomery Hospital, Modafferi served as Director of Community Programs and Education for the American Lung Association of Southeastern Pennsylvania.

ANGIE NICHOLAS, MD,  FAAFP
CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER EINSTEIN MEDICAL CENTER MONTGOMERY AND EINSTEIN PHYSICIANS MONTGOMERY

As Chief Medical Officer of Einstein Medical Center Montgomery and Einstein Physicians Montgomery, Angie Nicholas, MD, has oversight of the clinical services provided to patients at those locations. She has oversight for a group of over 60 physicians in Montgomery County. Board certified in Family Medicine, she also works clinically at Einstein Physicians King of Prussia Family Medicine and Einstein Physicians North Wales Family Practice. In her role, Dr. Nicholas has worked to enhance the patient experience, quality, productivity and physician engagement.

Prior to joining Einstein, Dr. Nicholas was Senior Director, Clinical Software and Enterprise Services, at Siemens Medical Solutions and was in clinical practice at Colonial Family Practice in Coatesville, Pa. Previously, she was Chief Medical Information Officer for Susquehanna Health for nearly 12 years.

BILL RYAN
VICE PRESIDENT FOR GOVERNMENT RELATIONS AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS

Drawing on more than 40 years as a campaign operative, political consultant and healthcare lobbyist, Bill Ryan serves as Vice President for Government Relations and Public Affairs at the Einstein Healthcare Network.

As the lead for Einstein's governmental and community affairs operations, Bill has been active with North Philadelphia organizations from the Logan Community Development Corporation to serving as the liaison between Einstein and UndiosPA PR. Bill connected residents from Puerto Rico with health services as they were displaced to Philadelphia.

Bill has been the driving force behind the creation of the North Philadelphia Health Enterprise Zone a partnership between the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, Department of Education, the City of Philadelphia, area hospitals and other stakeholders, a collaboration designed to address health disparities in North Philadelphia. He also is responsible for overseeing and directing federal, state and local lobbying efforts at Einstein and was active with the passage of both the Philadelphia and Pennsylvania Hospital Assessments, legislation which provided more than $500 million of additional funding for hospitals across Pennsylvania. In addition, Bill was part of the lobbying team that helped create Pennsylvania's DSH allocation for OB services.

Since joining Einstein in 2006, Bill has overseen the growth of governmental funding from a baseline of around $23 million annually to more than $60 million annually. Bill also identified and secured capital funding of more than $11 million for Einstein projects.

Bill’s efforts have been recognized by the Delaware Valley Healthcare Council of The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) in 2007 and 2011 for outstanding advocacy efforts on behalf of hospitals, patients and the community.

Prior to joining Einstein, Bill served as Acting President and Vice President of Advocacy for the Arthritis Foundation of Eastern Pennsylvania. While at the Arthritis Foundation, Bill created a legislative appropriation which grew to more than $480,000 annually and was influential in the creation of the Pennsylvania Arthritis and Osteoporosis Legislative Caucus - a first in the nation. His efforts led to the creation of the Pennsylvania Arthritis Action Plan which became the template for the World Health Organization's (WHO) Arthritis Action Plan.

Bill resides in Shamong, New Jersey with his wife Anastasia Zuccaro and two daughters, Gabriella and Taylor.

CRAIG J. SIEVING
VICE PRESIDENT FACILITIES MANAGEMENT, EINSTEIN HEALTHCARE NETWORK

In 2014, Craig Sieving was promoted to Vice President-Facilities Management for Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia, MossRehab, Einstein Medical Center Elkins Park and other facilities. In his role, Craig has responsibility for Maintenance & Engineering, Construction, Environmental Services, Protective Services, Mailroom & Print Shop, Materials Management, Safety & Emergency Preparedness, Property Management and Food & Nutrition Services. Previously, Sieving served as Network Director, Facilities Management, at Einstein for 10 years. During that time, he oversaw numerous large projects that have enhanced the network's clinical and service areas. Some of his notable accomplishments include implementing a comprehensive energy reduction plan and leading significant contract negotiations with utility providers that resulted in lower energy use and costs, developing and implementing a network-wide Facilities Quality Management System, and redeveloping, implementing and overseeing the network's regulatory compliance program for the Utility and Fire Safety systems.

STEVEN L. SIVAK, MD 
PRESIDENT, EINSTEIN PHYSICIANS PHILADELPHIA

Dr. Steve Sivak was appointed to the position of Chief Medical Officer in 2014, with oversight for Einstein Physicians Philadelphia, a group of 500 providers offering primary care and advanced specialty care and procedures in the greater Philadelphia region. In his role, he provides physician leadership as Einstein develops a clinically integrated network for the organization and its participation in Noble Health Alliance. Over his more than 30-year career, Dr. Sivak has had a strong interest and expertise in the education of medical students and residents and more recently has broadened his experience in population health management.

Prior to joining Einstein in 2001 as the Paul J. Johnson Chairman, Department of Medicine, Dr. Sivak spent nearly seven years as the Program Director, Internal Medicine and Vice Chairman, Department of Medicine for Saint Vincent's Medical Center in New York. He also worked as the Program Director and Chief of General Internal Medicine at Westchester County Medical Center in Valhalla, N.Y., for more than 12 years. In his current role, Dr. Sivak has worked to enhance the patient experience, quality, productivity and physician engagement.

THOMAS SMITH
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER, EINSTEIN MEDICAL CENTER ELKINS PARK AND MOSSREHAB

In 2016, Thomas Smith was named Chief Operating Officer of Einstein Medical Center Elkins Park and MossRehab, recognized as one of the top rehabilitative hospitals in the United States and one of the top workplaces in the Greater Philadelphia region. In his role, Smith has responsibility for all of MossRehab's inpatient and outpatient locations, as well as day-to-day oversight of Einstein Medical Center Elkins Park, which offers a full range of services, including a 24-hour Emergency Department. Throughout his career, Smith has served in a variety of clinical, programmatic and hospital leadership roles. He joined MossRehab in 1989 as an Occupational Therapist for MossRehab's nationally recognized Stroke and Brain Injury Programs. In 2000, Smith became the program director for the Drucker Brain Injury Center and later served in this capacity for the MossRehab satellite units at Aria Frankford, Aria Bucks and Doylestown Hospitals. In 2011, Smith became the Assistant Vice President for MossRehab and Einstein Medical Center Elkins Park.

WALT G. WYATT
VICE PRESIDENT OF FINANCE, EINSTEIN HEALTHCARE NETWORK

As vice president of finance, Walt Wyatt oversees network budgeting, cost reporting, fiscal services, financial reporting, decision support, as well as various revenue cycle areas. Walt joined Einstein in 1989 as manager of budget and reimbursement for MossRehab and has held various titles over the years as his roles and responsibilities have changed. He has served as VP of finance since 2018. Prior to joining Einstein, Walt worked in public accounting as a healthcare consultant. He graduated from LaSalle University with a degree in accounting and finance.
