Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia is a 440-bed community teaching hospital located four miles north of downtown Philadelphia. Established in 1866, Einstein has a long-standing commitment to providing medical services to its community and to educating future practicing physicians.
Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia hosts over 900 clinical rotations per year to support medical student education. Einstein hosts all six core clerkships and over 50 elective clerkships. Einstein has been a major teaching affiliate of Thomas Jefferson Medical College since July 2000. We are also a clinical core campus for Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. In addition, Einstein has more than 400 residents across 30 accredited residency and fellowship programs. Our medical community includes over 600 physicians and dentists within Einstein Healthcare Network and an additional 1200 affiliated physicians.
Einstein offers students the resources and advantages of a major teaching institution. Our mission is to prepare students fully for the rigors and challenges of clinical practice and residency training.
