The Einstein Medical Center Montgomery, Internal Medicine Residency Program is structured to provide a comprehensive core curriculum in internal medicine. This is accomplished through a supervised, weekly dedicated conference time on Wednesday afternoons from 12:00 to 4:00 pm. Morning reports are on Tuesday and Thursdays at 7 a.m.

Residents will have the opportunity to present cases or lead discussions in journal club, morbidity and mortality conference, morning report, intern report and Clinical Pathological Conferences (CPC).  We also host lectures involving care management, addiction medicine, wellness, root cause, and the economics of healthcare. Our core IM didactic curriculum is also supplemented with outside speakers for medical Grand Rounds. We host weekly board review sessions and have access for simulation exercises for residents to practice code blues and procedures. Residents also participate in the institutional conference series hosted by the Office of Academic Affairs.

The residency program is structured to ensure that each resident will have the opportunity to acquire the knowledge, clinical skills, interpersonal skills, professional attitudes and behaviors, and experience navigating through the health care system required to become a competent general internist. They will also learn to reflect on their own clinical practice to acquire the skills necessary for life-long learning.
