The EMCM Internal Medicine Residency Program is a structured curriculum of 36 months duration. The program has adopted a 4+1 teaching block design. Residents will spend four weeks rotating on an inpatient, emergency medicine, or elective service. During one week of the five-week block, the resident will rotate in the continuity clinic.

The curriculum is designed to build a solid foundation in the vast array of topics that encompass the practice of internal medicine. The curriculum is presented in various formats ranging from online self-paced courses to regularly scheduled conferences. Most conferences will be case-based, interactive, hands-on sessions designed to enhance the resident's knowledge base.
