Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia is a full service ~700-bed tertiary care teaching hospital with a large full-time faculty and a wide variety of training programs. EMCP is in Northeast Philadelphia and is one of the most important “safety net” hospitals in the East Coast. EMCP will be your home base and where most of your time will be spent. The hospital has an accredited Level I Regional Resource Trauma Center and one of the busiest emergency rooms in Philadelphia. In addition, Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia serves as a Level III Neonatal, Transplant and Cardiovascular Center.
Einstein Medical Center Elkins Park is a small 60-bed acute care hospital within a larger rehabilitation center. Moss Rehab is one of the foremost Rehab centers in the country. The bulk of the surgical volume here is elective such as Bariatrics/MIS. EMCEP is located a quick 15-minute drive from EMCP.
Einstein Center One is an off-site surgical center with various specialties such as Plastics, Breast and General Surgery.

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is THE world’s leading pediatric surgery institution. There can be no greater experience in pediatric surgery that can be offered in the country. We are excited to offer this experience to our PGY-2 residents where they spend 3 months each.
Fox Chase Cancer Center is a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and research facility located in Montgomery County. It is a 100-bed hospital and one of the few facilities in the country devoted entirely to cancer care. It is rated the 19th best cancer hospital in the United States. Here, our residents work with the Surgical Oncology and Thoracic Divisions and receive a world class experience. PGY 1-4s rotate there to get experience in surgical oncology on the thoracic and breast oncology services.
