Welcome to the Department of Urology Residency Program at the Einstein Healthcare Network.

We appreciate your interest in our program and have recently updated our website to reflect the most accurate information regarding our residency program.

The Department of Urology at Einstein Healthcare Network recently received accreditation by the ACGME in 2016 to matriculate and train urology residents who are eligible for the American Board of Urology board certification.

Prior to ACGME accreditation, the Einstein Urology residency program was one of the largest and most well recognized osteopathic urology residency programs in the country for over 3 decades.

Our ACGME accreditation recognizes that we have an immersive experience with excellent case volumes to support a resident complement of 3 residents per year.

Our AUA program ID number is 00883763 and we are accepting ERAS applications through October 1 of this year (2022)

We will be matching all of our residency positions this year through the AUA Match this upcoming January.

At Einstein, we have clinical expertise in all core domains of urology and are actively invested in resident education. Our residency program consists of eight institutions:

  • Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia
  • Einstein Medical Center Elkins Park
  • Thomas Jefferson University Hospital
  • Jefferson Abington Hospital
  • Jefferson Methodist Hospital
  • Fox Chase Cancer Center
  • Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia
  • Huntingdon Valley Surgery Center

These training sites allow for Einstein residents to obtain comprehensive training in all fields within urology, including robotics, oncology, reconstruction, prosthetics/sexual medicine, female urology, general urology, and endourology. Within this environment, residents gain invaluable experience and master the many skills they will need to pursue careers in general urology or added fellowship training. Our department consists of 30 faculty including 10 full-time faculty, 20 voluntary faculty at the allied institutions. Our full time faculty includes fellowship trained surgeons in urologic oncology, robotics, trauma and reconstruction, endourology, neurourology and female pelvic reconstructive medicine.

Collectively, our full time faculty has published over 500 scholarly articles and is considered regional and national leaders in the field.

Historically, our residents have obtained prestigious fellowships in all fields of urology, including oncology, robotics, endourology, pediatrics, male reconstruction, and female pelvic reconstruction and have practiced all over the country.

We encourage you to contact us if you have any additional inquiries regarding our program.

Our residency program coordinator, Ally Gould (Ally.Gould@jefferson.edu), is your point of contact if you have any questions or are interested in learning more.

We look forward to your application and welcoming you to our department.
