Research

Einstein's dedicated full-time research assistants work tirelessly to advance care protocols, treatments and operational procedures. The Emergency Medicine Research Program is actively involved in numerous city and state clinical trials, many sponsored by the National Institutes of Health.

We are fortunate to collaborate with Philadelphia's world-class academic institutions to identify and develop novel solutions to address healthcare disparities in the populations we serve in our three Emergency Departments. Our team is currently active in studies addressing women's health, sexual assault, post-traumatic stress disorder, food and housing insecurities, gun violence, trauma, ultrasound, resuscitation, concussion and pain management.

Recognized by the Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRPP), Einstein Healthcare Network has demonstrated that all research performed adheres to high standards and extensive safeguards.
