MossRehab Recognized by Global Abilities Foundation
At its annual golf outing and dinner May 20, the Global Abilities Foundation
, which addresses significant challenges that people with disabilities face to community integration, presented MossRehab with its annual Champion in the Community Award.
MossRehab was recognized for its dedication to helping those with disabilities get back to the activities and people they love.
Aligned to those goals, MossRehab has sponsored the Global Abilities Foundation wheelchair racing team for the last two years and participates in the Global Abilities Foundation annual Rec Fest, which introduces able and disabled people alike to new forms of sport and recreation.
"Global Abilities Foundation is proud to honor MossRehab as the 2016 Global Abilities Champion in the Community." said Global Abilities Foundation founder A.J. Nanayakkara during the award presentation. "We recognize MossRehab's continuing commitment to their patients after discharge and MossRehab's support of community programs that positively impact the disabled community at-large. Their Challenge Accepted attitude of constantly pushing oneself to do more than you did yesterday exemplify the Global Abilities Foundation mission to help persons with disabilities get their lives back."

MossRehab has also sent over 150 volunteers to help surfers with disabilities at the annual They Will Surf Again event in Wildwood Crest, N.J. and has adopted the new Accessible Icon for designated parking spaces.
